Review : HTC Desire S - Overview and Specification. #Maxis10

Hello handsome girls and pretty boys sekalian.

Aku bet korang dah tau pasal HTC Desire S which is one of the latest Maxis product. And thanks to our beautiful and handsome God for giving me this opportunity to review this phone.

So semalam, dalam pukul 4 petang, aku dapat call dari courier. Aku agak teruja sebenarnya. Dan bila dapat je HTC Desire S ni, aku terus buka. Then waaa. So sexy!

 

First application yang aku buka bila aku dapat phone ni of course lah the internet dan my blog. The speed, the appearance and everything looks nice. Selepas tu, aku main beberapa games yang baru je aku download. Then lepak-lepak kat tweeter. Then facebook. Then formspring. Semua aku guna HTC Desire S ni. For the first hour im feeling like this smartphone is quite nice.

The Design

Apa yang anda nampak kat atas adalah HTC Desire S yang saiz nya adalah exactly sama dengan size sebenar. Look at that. So sexy.

This HTC is armored phone. Yeah, this sexy babe is fully covered with aluminum and im feeling like "this is soo awesome". You are safe and secure, baby. This phone awal-awal dah bagi nice first impression to me which is 'her' toughness and the quality. Body dia aluminum dan so nice sampaikan bila kena flash terus pantulkan cahaya -,-/

Dan yang best part pasal this phone adalah ia menggunakan Android v2.3 Gingerbread which is antara platform yang paling latest selepas Android 3.0 Honeycomb (Tablet).

The Android. - Android OS v2.3 Gingerbread

Android adalah antara Operating System (OS) phone yang terbaik di dunia. Adalah hampir dan setanding dengan iPhone OS (based on the queued of latest version). Both of the Android dan iPhone OS ada kelebihan masing-masing seperti Android adalah open source so banyak benda free yang korang boleh direct download dan korang boleh buat lah apa yang korang nak buat dengan this OS.

Semalam aku lepak kat Android Market guna this phone, aku browse game kat Android Market Place rasa macam list of the games tu tak akan habis (Actually, memang sampai sekarang tak habis). Memang banyak gila dan semuanya adalah FREEEE. Applications? Jangan cakap ah, termuntah korang tengok list applications tu. Ya, function dia just nice macam Ovi Store dan Jailbreak (Jailbreak-  digunakan oleh iPhone user untuk 'hack' iPhone untuk dapatkan kan barang perguna guna 3rd party). Dengan kata lain, korang boleh download sebanyak mana yang korang suka dan korang tak akan bosan.

Dan yang paling best, Android support Flash Player while iPhone, not. So dengan HTC Desire S korang boleh view hampir semua benda di internet seperti apa yang boleh korang view menggunakan laptop /  PC korang.

Oh oh ya, recently, as for the US market, penjualan Android dah surpass BlackBerry and iPhone. Since aku pengguna Android, aku langsung tak terkejut.

The Screen. - Capacitive Touchscreen.

Ada orang tanya:

"Tak mudah rosak ke pakai handphone touch screen kalau asyik tekan-tekan screen tu?" - Yumi.

Actually, ini adalah soalan yang ramai gila tanya. And for your information, most of the smartphone nowadays dah guna heat sensor capacitive touch screen dan bukannya pressure sensor or resistive touch screen. (And there is no such thermal or heat sensor screen). Which is, yeah, this HTC pun guna capacitive touch screen. So, tak perlu la korang nak struggle sangat bila nak tekan screen tu. Dengan kata lain, apa yang korang perlu buat hanyalah slightly touch the screen, and the screen akan terus detect. Simple and friendly use. So, there is no way screen mudah rosak akan menjadi isu.

Then, first impression aku pasal screen dia adalah the best quality of its clarity. Why? Because this HTC  Desire S menggunakan Super LCD screen which means more clarity and sharper display way much better than AMOLED. And not to be mentioned, iPhone 4 pun guna Super LCD screen display sama macam HTC Desire S. Cool isn't?

The Battery Life.

Bagi yang tak pernah lepak-lepak dengan HTC dan handphone pintar lain, mesti ramai tertanya-tanya pasal penjimatan dan penggunaan bateri. Mesti semua pakat fikir;

"Tak guna banyak power ke nak hasilkan gambar yang cantik di screen yang besar tu?" - Anonymous.

Actually, nope. Bateri dia amat tahan lama since capacity-nya adalah 1450 mAh. Talk time up to 435 minutes for WCDMA(3G) and 590 minutes for GSM(2G). Standby time pula adalah up to 455 hours for WCDMA (3G) and 430 hours for GSM(2G). Okay fine korang tak faham langsung apa benda ni. Senang citer, dalam bahasa melayunya, bateri untuk handphone ni cukup lama ah untuk korang bergayut dengan your girlfriend(s) dan boyfriend(s) di tengah malam.

Plus, macam yang anda semua tahu, kita boleh sleepkan dia dengan tekan power button. Dan bila nak guna phone, kita just tekan on dan kurang dari 1 saat, ianya dah boleh terus guna macam biasa. Saving gila. Then andai kata ketika this baby is sleeping dan pada masa yang sama ada mesej masuk, akan ada satu lampu LED hijau kecil yang akan berkelip yang menandakan ada notification. So, korang tak perlu lah nak on off on off this phone selalu.

The Performance and Speed.

Dalam penggunaan handphone touch screen ni, mesti ramai nak tanya pasal performance. So, kalau korang terfkir:

"Nanti pakai software yang berat-berat, tak slow ke handphone ni?"

Well, for HTC Desire S, that is not gonna happen sebab this phone datang dengan  1GHz Scorpion CPU on Adreno GPU, which is giving out 768MB RAM and 1.1GB ROM. Semuanya amaaat smooooth. Rasa seolah-olah korang bermain dengan air.

Sebenarnya, masa mula-mula aku tengok handphone ni, aku terfikir:

"OMG, tebal dari  iPhone. Berbaloi ke beli this phone compared to iPhone?" 

Itu adalah benda pertama yang aku fikir bila aku tengok HTC Desire S. Well, HTC Desire S adalah upgraded version based on the previos version which is HTC Desire. HTC Desire dapat award The Phone of The Year (Technology Brand of the Year) di T3’s prestigious Gadget Awards 2010.

So yeah, pihak HTC tak puas hati lagi dengan kejayaan smartphone of the year ni and now they are making this HTC Desire S into the AWESOMELY AWESOME smartphone. Some of the part maybe more to degrading the phone but still, giving the passion. I tried lots of smart phones like Samsung Galaxy series, LG, iPhone dan macam-macam lah. Dan HTC Desire S adalah antara yang paling smooth yang aku pernah cuba. For HTC Desire S vs Iphone 4, both of them ada kelebihan masing-masing. HTC Desire S lagi superb segi performance tetapi Iphone 4 lagi superb dari segi camera dan beberapa function lain.

Bila di fikir-fikirkan balik, aku main games, buka Youtube, layan Facebook, baca blog, reply email dan sebagainya aku guna this phone. Rasa macam my laptop dah tak ada guna ba. -,-.
